iSyntax is a team of one: me. When you get in touch, you’re talking to the person who will design and build your website. I get to know your business and stay involved throughout.
I’m a web developer based in Yeovil, Somerset. I build the part people see and the systems that make it work: front ends in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and back ends in PHP, mostly using Laravel.
I’ve been making websites for over 20 years. What keeps it interesting is the variety: a business that needs a better website, a process that could be simpler, or a product that starts with “what if?”.
It started with a Spectrum.
My interest in computers began with the ZX Spectrum. BASIC experiments and text adventures led to an Atari ST, STOS and eventually Assembly. Taking things apart and figuring out how they worked became a habit.
That curiosity is still there. Alongside web development, I’m involved in Atomic Windmill, making new games for retro computers and consoles.

Away from the keyboard, I love goats. One of my dreams is to retire with enough land to keep some of my own. Until then, I’m very happy to borrow their company whenever I can.

I like to understand what you’re trying to achieve before deciding how to build it. We can start with the essentials, discuss the trade-offs and agree a sensible scope.
Every customer matters to me. I make time to listen, welcome questions, and explain the technical bits in everyday language. I want you to feel comfortable picking up the phone, whether you have a full brief or just the beginnings of an idea.
Location is rarely a barrier. I work remotely across all areas, and if you’re near Yeovil, Sherborne, Crewkerne or the surrounding Somerset and Dorset area, we can discuss meeting in person.
